Ilanit Tadmor
Ilanit Tadmor is a dancer, choreographer and a teacher of dance, contact improvisation, aware movement and choreography. She is the director and founder of The PLAY Dance Theater which enables people from different backgrounds to develop their creativity through the world of dance, movement and theater.
In 1997 she graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance and in 1998 from the faculty of Theater and Musicology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. With her solo piece Walk my Talk she won a prize in the ‘Variations in Dance’ competition for the year 2000. She was awarded scholarship and a Guest Artist Fellowship in Taiwan where she wrote and performed. In 2000 Ilanit became a partner and an artistic director of the Imprubiza ensemble performing creations of music & dance co-operating with various artists & musicians. She was the choreographer and artistic director of the Buah Group that performed works of choreographic improvisation in Israel and abroad in 2002.
Over the past 8 years she founded, directs and teaches in PLAY Studio, a study center for dance, improvisation, movement & theater. Along side to her work in Israel, Ilanit teaches in Europe and the Far East at festivals and schools of dance & theater.
